Post Info On Low Idle speed
Just wandering some info on low idle speed.

Some guy on another forum said low idle speed icreases cam stress.

Just wandering how true this is and why and is there any other bad things low idle speed does ...... just wandering.

A guy I know (ex-Suzuki dealer and ex-mechanic in German and European race series) told me that low idle speed won't allow the oil pump to support enough oil to the cams. Not that you will notice the effect at once, but on the long run. He was especially referring to the GSXR and Bandit type of engines, but he said the same is true for GSX engines. He gave the advice to set the idle at least to 1250 rpm.
