Post Water/meth injection - Parts source needed.
Got to build a boost activated water/meth injector for the supercharged Zed.

Just a simple device that activates off the plenum when it reaches a certain pressure.

Need two rust proof one way pressure release valves that are either adjustable ( 0 to 10psi -ish) or fixed to open at 7psi and a 0.5mm nozzle jet to fit on the intake side of the blower.

Anyone know of a supplier ?

Cheers ,Zed.

Thanks Fluff but can't see anything on there.
Valves just need to be basic in line jobbies that will open under air/fluid pressure, Sort of ball and spring arrangement.
They are to go either side of a sealed tank containing the water/meth mix.
Top one opens when boost reaches around 7 psi which then pressurises the tank and forces liquid through the second valve at the bottom of the tank and up to the spray nozzle.
A very basic set-up with no electrickery and nowt to go wrong.
Very last resort will be to have a go at making some but i'm sure there's something out there for just this purpose.

Sorry, I thought you meant a pressure actuated switch that you could turn off the water/meth pump system with, hence the link to a pressure actuated pump switch.

What you describe sounds a lot like a "back pressure regulator" or a "forward pressure regulator" depending on who you speak to. The trick is finding a inline one thats small and neat.

Maybe this is nearer ?

Also well worth a quick call to your local pneumatics place and ask them if they have a small neat inline back pressure regulator. Theyve probably got loads on the shelf. Get them to select one that is methanol compatible for the outlet as the pintle needs to be a special material to resist iirc. Especially as it wont be $30 postage ;)
